Vacations in Savannah never look the same. Some people prefer spending long days on the beach, while others love wandering around the city streets. You may want to see all the history this city offers, while friends of yours may want to spend time experiencing the phenomenal cuisine. There is really no right or wrong way to vacation in Savannah, Georgia. But there are a few incredible things to do in Savannah that must make their way onto your itinerary.
Forsyth Park is comprised of thirty acres of space and it is just waiting for you to explore it all. There is so much to see and do in Forsyth Park. You may want to start at the Forsyth Fountain and then see what else you discover from there.
Tybee Island is the place to visit in Savannah while on vacation when you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. This sandy destination offers five miles of sandy shoreline, which is perfect for swimming. Add in the lighthouse and Marine Science Center and you have at least a day filled with thrilling adventures.
There are many ghost tours in Savannah options available. Each one offers unique ghost stories that have made this the most haunted city in the US. Checking out the paranormal activities in this city can be done during the day, but the real ghost action is at night.
There are plenty of places to go shopping in Savannah, but River Street offers the best ambiance. The old cotton warehouses have been turned into shops and restaurants. This means you will have too many options to count when you want to do an entire day of shopping.
When you are down by the river on River Street, you must take a little detour for a Savannah River Cruise. Basic sightseeing cruises are wonderful options, but I recommend the lunch or dinner cruises. And if romance is part of your vacation in Savannah, Georgia, then I will make sure a sunset cruise or moonlight cruise is on your itinerary.
These are six of the incredible things to do in Savannah. There are obviously so many more things to do in Savannah. Therefore, we must talk about what would make your next vacation in Savannah, Georgia perfect. Click here to set up a time to chat, so we can make sure your next vacation is as spectacular as you are imagining.
