Aruba is one of the ABC Islands, which are part of The Netherlands. It is one of the most incredible islands to visit for a romantic vacation. The soft sandy beaches are surrounded by turquoise water and lush forests. When you take a romantic cruise to Aruba, you get to experience the best of two worlds. You get downtime on the ship while traveling to Aruba. Then you get all the excitement and romantic adventures available on the island. Today, I am going to share the best things to do during a romantic cruise to Aruba.
This iconic chapel was constructed back in 1952. It offers spectacular views of the island. While you can go here to look around, most couples choose to exchange vows during their visit. I can help arrange that if you want to renew your vows during a romantic cruise to Aruba.
All sorts of water sports can be done over at Boca Catalina Beach in Aruba. If you are both ready for a few thrills, do a little parasailing, jet skiing, or windsurfing. Low key options are also available. Those include kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding.
You won’t be able to search for gold any more at the Balashi Ruins. However, you can explore a site that is rich in history. The original structures were destroyed during World War I. The remaining parts of the structures are slowly disappearing. If you want to capture this part of history, I recommend a romantic vacation in Aruba sooner than later.
Baby Beach is further from the port and the crowds. This remote beach is the best spot for those long romantic walks on the sand. There are a few bars close by. Those are perfect when you want a drink before heading back to the ship.
Yes, I know you are spending a good amount of time on the cruise ship traveling to Aruba. Going on a luxury boat ride in Aruba is a totally different experience though. Board the boat before sitting down to relax with a drink in hand. Then enjoy the views, as you both talk.
I love doing these boat rides at night, as the sun is setting over the water.
There are sand dunes all around the island of Aruba. The Arashi Dunes are the most popular ones. The California Lighthouse is near these sand dunes. It is simple to explore both in a single day.
While you can walk around the sand dunes, you may want to consider riding an ATV through them. It is a completely different experience.
Okay, so you both need to be on board with the idea of going shipwreck diving. As long as you are both ready for this action-packed adventure, this will be one of the best things you do during a romantic cruise to Aruba.
You will be taken out to the SS Antilla, which is considered one of the biggest shipwrecks in the entire Caribbean. This was a German cargo ship that was set on fire by its crew. There are quite a few unique sea creatures near this shipwreck. And since the water is so quiet, you can usually get really good pictures during your dives.
Oranjestad is the capital city of Aruba. Within this city, you will discover colonial houses, historical sites, and museums. It is best to take a guided tour, so you can learn the most about the area.
These are the best things to do during a romantic cruise to Aruba. There are many others and I can arrange for you to do the ones that interest you the most when I plan your romantic cruise. Every activity you choose will allow you to become closer to the person you fell in love with and you will finally remember why you should take romantic vacations like this more often.
