Everyone seems to love water, so it shouldn’t be surprising that the Forsyth Fountain is the most popular thing to see in this park. You will find this fountain at the northern end of Forsyth Park. This fountain was constructed back in 1858. While you can hang out at this fountain at any time of the year, St. Patrick’s Day is the best time to see it. On that day, the water is dyed green to celebrate the Irish holiday.
Kids of all ages will love using all the equipment on the Forsyth Park Playground. Plus, since this playground is fenced in, it will be much easier to keep an eye on everyone in your group.
You will find the Fragrance Garden to the southwest of the Forsyth Fountain. This beautiful garden was created back in 1963. However, it hasn’t always been open to the public. You can only explore this fragrant area Monday through Friday, so we must plan your time in Forsyth Park accordingly.
Anyone who loves shopping local will love the farmer’s market that pops up in this park on Saturdays. You will find this farmer’s market Savannah at the southern end of Forsyth Park by the intersection of Park Ave and Bull St. When you are shopping at this popular farmer’s market, you will find everything from produce and meats to cheeses, honey, and baked goods.
Multiple events and festivals are held in Forsyth Park throughout the year. If you want to be a part of all the activities for any of these events or a festival, we must plan your vacation in Savannah, Georgia carefully. No worries, I can help you find the festival or event that you will love!
