Have you always wanted to experience the local cuisine while on vacation without the stress of finding it on your own? I have the perfect solution with food tours! Almost any major city offers at least one food tour and Savannah is no exception. I definitely recommend adding a food tour to your Savannah itinerary. Especially if you want to try foods that include shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, and hoppin’ John. Oh, and don’t forget about the pecan pie, sweet potato pie, and peach cobbler!
The First Squares Food Tour will take you to six different restaurants located within the historic squares. The locations included on this tour include 22 Square, The Ordinary Pub, Pie Society, and Savannah Bee Company, plus a couple others.
If your heart desires off the beaten path food options, then the Famous and Secret East Side Food Tour should be at the top of your list. This is one of the best off the beaten path food tours in the country. The restaurants are tucked away in spots that most people never think to look. Your taste buds will dance as you try the foods at locations like Common and Billy’s Place.
Your time on the Southern Fried Expectations Food Tour will have you spending a lot of time on River Street. With so many restaurants to choose from on this street, taking this food tour will make it much easier for you to decide which ones to dine at later during your vacation in Savannah, Georgia. I’m not going to give away the secret restaurants of this food tour. But I will tell you that your sweet tooth will be very happy at the end with a stop at Savannah’s Candy Kitchen.
Sometimes you need a little cocktail with your food and this food tour makes it happen! Imagine enjoying a cocktail at each of the three stops you make to try authentic Savannah cuisine. And if you don’t drink, all you need to do is ask for a mocktail instead.
These are only some of the food tours you can take while on vacation in Savannah, Georgia. Are you ready to taste some of the delectable local cuisine in Savannah? Send me an email or click here to set up a time to chat. I can’t wait to plan your vacation in Savannah, Georgia and include a food tour on your itinerary!
