Did you know you can take a romantic cruise with your partner almost anywhere in the world? Practically every cruise can turn into one filled with romance and laughter. Plus, they are all going to give you time together, as you make memories. One of my favorite romantic cruises will take you to Cozumel, Bimini, and Grand Cayman. Today, I want to share a few of the things to do in Grand Cayman during a romantic cruise. My focus will be on George Town, as that is where your cruise ship will be docking.
Almost everyone wants to spend at least part of their time in port at 7 Mile Beach. And who can blame them with all the romantic possibilities!
This beach is almost seven miles long. It has soft white sand that connects to the turquoise sea. All that sand is perfect for walking hand in hand, appreciating being alone with each other. Talk, as you walk and get your feet wet.
When you tire of walking, head to one of the nearby beach clubs for a drink and a bite to eat.
If you prefer more of an adventure, rent a jet ski and head out on the open water. Or stay closer to shore with snorkeling gear. You will be amazed at how much marine life you will see underwater.
Blue iguanas can only be seen in Grand Cayman. If you are trying to check off the best things to do in Grand Cayman, visiting these reptiles should be at the top of your list.
You will find these endangered species at the Salina Nature Reserve and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Park.
Of course, these spiny creatures can also be seen randomly, as you wander around the island. So, keep your eyes out. You won’t want to step on one!
If you and your partner love history, or museums, then you may want to check out the Cayman Islands National Museum. There are six galleries filled with interesting exhibits. I recommend beginning in the Natural History Gallery. Although, you may prefer to skip straight to the Old Gaol Gallery, which basically translates to Jail. Especially, if you and your partner are struggling to connect on this romantic cruise.
It may be exactly what you need to finally see how important this alone time is for your relationship.
And if nothing else, it should give you both something to laugh about in the future!
The streets of George Town are filled with shops. Those stores are filled with jewelry, clothes, collectibles, artwork, and souvenirs. Keep in mind that you will receive duty-free and tax-free prices on everything you purchase. Now might be an excellent time to stock up on gifts for the year.
Learning about the brewing process at the Cayman Islands Brewery can be a fun way to spend a couple hours together. You get a behind the scenes look and then get to sample the brews. Talk about a wonderful way to learn something new, have a drink, and be with the person you love.
These are some of the best things to do in Grand Cayman during a romantic cruise. I know you will find that one of these options will give you exactly what you want, as you spend time with your partner and make a few memories. And if Grand Cayman isn’t piquing your interest, how about a romantic cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean?
