Imagine a weeklong romantic vacation with your partner in a destination of your dreams. This could be soft sandy beaches, mountain ranges, or a bustling big city. Whatever looks like romance to the two of you. Now imagine how you will book this romantic vacation. Will you use the internet and spend hours researching the best deals? Or will you finally break tradition and chat with a travel advisor or travel agent? I vote for chatting with a travel advisor. We can offer you so much more than the websites on the internet can. We are so much more personal too! 😊 Today, I am sharing why you should always work with a travel advisor when it comes to romantic vacations and avoid the internet when possible.

What are the Benefits of Working With a Travel Advisor?

You Get Stuck in a Destination Thanks to a Delayed or Cancelled Flight

If you read my post, “Do I Need to Purchase Travel Insurance”, you know that one of my colleagues got stuck in Norway. Yes, she is a travel advisor, so she could technically handle everything on her own. However, cell phone coverage was spotty.

She contacted me and I helped her find accommodations, booked her on a new flight for after the strike, and dealt with other logistics. If she had needed to contact an online travel agent or a warehouse club store, she may have spent hours on hold. Or been disconnected multiple times due to spotty cell service.

You are Double Charged for a Tour

Another client of mine was on vacation in Hawaii with her family. She noticed that she was being double charged for a tour they were taking. The last thing she wanted to do while on a family vacation was deal with something like this.

Since I was her travel advisor, she called me, and I took care of it all for her. Basically, by the time her kids were finished with their first surfing lessons, I had the double charge reversed. All she had to do was watch her kids hit the waves and take pictures.

That never would have happened if she had booked her vacation on the internet.

You Missed Your Tour

What happens when you are on vacation, and you miss your tour? You may think that you simply missed out on one of the many experiences you should have had.

Well, that won’t be the case when you work with a travel advisor like myself. When this happened to one of my clients in Mexico, she called me. I managed to get her booked on the very next tour, so she could still check this item off her vacation list.

You Want to Tour an Attraction but No Tours Work for Your Family

As a travel advisor, I have contacts all around the world. I can call or email these contacts when I need assistance with planning a trip for my clients.

These contacts were quite helpful when I had a client who wanted to take her family on a tour of Wimbledon while vacationing in London. They had tried to do the research on their own but weren’t able to find a tour that worked for their family.

I managed to connect with one of my contacts and created a tour that was specific to my client’s needs.

These are just a few of the reasons why you should always use a travel advisor instead of the internet when planning a romantic vacation. As a travel advisor, I treat every vacation as if it were my own. I take the time to plan a vacation that meets your needs and wants. I design experiences that will help you make those memories you will remember forever. And I always let my clients know that they can call me at any time, and I will take care of any issue that arises. This goes for before, during, or after the trip. Doesn’t all that sound better than the cookie cutter trips, and non-personal customer service, you get when you book vacations on the internet?
